“... I hope this is just the beginning... 🤘”

AMPEST (formerly known as Antsud Metal Project / AMP) is a heavy, forward-thinking modern folk metal force that bridges the gap between traditional Estonian heritage and the crushing weight of contemporary metal production.
Originally conceived as a sonic experiment to reimagine the acoustic, traditional songs of Estonia’s celebrated folk band Antsud, the project quickly outgrew its skin. What began as a studio collaboration between the folk collective and producer/guitarist Emmanouil Tselepis has crystallized into a permanent, dedicated six-piece lineup ready to claim its own territory on the international metal stage.
The Sound & Evolution
AMPEST seamlessly melds atmospheric synthesisers, epic orchestral arrangements, and thunderous, down-tuned 7-string guitar riffs with the striking power of dual clean Estonian-language vocals. The lyrical and musical landscape is deeply rooted in heritage, navigating everything from haunting, poetic gothic metal anthems to intense historic reflections. A prime example is the poignant single "Südames," which details the harrowing mid-century mass deportations to Siberia, serving as an emotional, heavy-hitting anthem of resilience and enduring love for the homeland.
Core Achievements & Milestones
The Debut Album Sulam: In May 2025, marks the release of "Sulam" full-lenth album (meaning alloy or amalgam). The record blends completely brand-new heavy compositions with heavily transformed, reimagined Antsud classics.
Cinematic Music Videos: Always trying to combine striking visual with identity through a string of high-production, artistic music videos for standout singles like "Suvetar" (directed by Tristan Asavi), "Valu" (shot by Ramon Schütz), and "Andun."
Tallinn Music Week (TMW): On the way of cementing the status as a rising live force, the project was invited on the Metal Stage at Tallinn Music Week, showcasing a massive wall of sound to an international industry audience.
